You are one decision away from a completely different life. This statement is both powerfully liberating or a fear-inducing threat. The difference, dear reader, is the perspective. Your perspective determines the quality of your life, no matter the situation. Are you ready for a new perspective? 30 days challenge of doing things differently?
Start now to see a situation as an opportunity to improve yourself, and you will find yourself creating the luxury of options and choices. See a situation as a tragedy befalling you and as something you need to get over quickly. And watch how your whole life turns into a series of events and tasks you need to complete. The difference between existing and living, truly living, is the satisfaction and fulfillment we gain from mundane activities:
Cooking
Going for a walk
Dancing to our favorite tunes
Spending time with loved ones or the dog.
Lazying around in pajamas, while sipping a beverage.
When was the exact moment you resigned yourself to the fate of a person who conforms to the system? We allow ourselves to serve within the guided lanes of societal norms. And we forget what makes us unique. Why do we easily give in to the fatigue of adulting? Infact why are we no longer active participants in our own lives? It is easy to get plunged into the 9-5 routine of our daily lives. Easier even, is to only live on the weekends, wailing on Mondays through Fridays about all the time we do not have control over.
30 Days Challenge
But this is the thing, we are the ones in control of our lives. It’s just much easier to shift the blame of our mismanaged time on someone else. Because, you have full control over your existence. You are the anchor of your ship. Every 24 hours allotted to you per day is the gift you squander while you complain about how much time you do not have. And, every new month is a great opportunity to learn a new habit. They say it only takes 21days.
Humans are creatures of habit; everything we do, say, or even think is set on years and years of learned behavior. This is why you might feel hopeless in the pursuit of having some control over your life. Our minds urge us to stay in a state of comfort simply because we are instinctively programmed to do so for survival. The best thing, though, is that we can unlearn all of that. It may be a little hard initially, but the mind can be trained to pick up or unlearn habits depending on what you want. The first step is to acknowledge that you have complete control over your mind. You instruct it. Your subconscious mind can easily try to overtake your conscious mind, but with discipline, the thing you dread the most could be the cornerstone of change in your life.
Write that book you’ve been thinking about, quit a bad habit like smoking, eat healthily, or go to a new café and make some new friends. And if you are the go, go, go kind of a person, you might need to slow down. Redesign your life as you deem necessary, change anything that you may not like about yourself. It only takes 30 days to start a new life to have a new beginning. Everything is possible; everything you want is at the other end of fear. Come 2021, will you consider a new perspective 30 Days Challenge? Will you embrace it. And, fully take control of your life?
